The 1001 Miglia Randonnée, regarded as one of the world’s most renowned ultra-distance cycling events, is set for an exciting innovation in its 2028 edition. Traditionally, this iconic challenge takes riders on an extraordinary adventure of over 1,600 km through breathtaking landscapes, historic cities, and some of Italy’s most beautiful roads.

To welcome an even wider audience of cycling enthusiasts, in 2028 the event will “split” by introducing a “light” version of 500 miles (approximately 800 km). This shorter yet equally captivating route is designed for those who wish to experience the thrill and spirit of the 1001 Miglia without committing to the full classic distance.

This new format will make the 1001 Miglia even more inclusive, offering more cyclists the chance to take part in a truly unique and legendary challenge.
